TROUBLE IN RUNNING

HOLY LAKE (H260) after the race, rider could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of his mount. Trainer stated that the only explanation he could offer was that the horse may have been disadvantaged by being left without cover in the early stages of the event, but nonetheless was disappointed with the performance. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance was considered to be disappointing as compared to its recent starts. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 696.

TOURBILLON PRINCE (H122) when questioned, rider stated that the instructions were to hold a forward position, but despite riding his mount along in the early stages, it did not show sufficient pace to do so. He said as a consequence his mount settled further back in the field than intended - Race 772.

YOUNG ACHIEVER (J291) jumped awkwardly and then was checked shortly after the start when crowded. Approaching the 100M was eased when a runner was taken out towards the horse - Race 761.

BRIGHT INHERITANCE (J215) near the 250M rider lost his whip - Race 792.

PRAY FOR MIR (J245) near the 100M was bumped - Race 792.

THE HEIR (H459) after the race, rider reported that his mount was unable to obtain clear running in the early part of the Home Straight and finished the race off in a one-paced manner thereafter. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 792.

SATIRICAL FAN (J214) near the 50M was steadied when crowded - Race 750.

ARIEL (G223) post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 792.

PERFECT PAIRING (J331) was slow to begin. Was left racing wide and without cover from the 850M. Near the 250M was steadied when crowded - Race 792.

SMART CITY (J213) for a short distance near the 100M and again over the concluding stages had difficulty obtaining clear running - Race 792.

SURUGA BAY (J022) blundered on jumping and lost ground - Race 763.

I CAN (H381) shortly after the start was steadied when crowded. Was left racing wide and without cover from the 900M and then was allowed to stride forward near the 700M but continued to race without cover - Race 777.
