PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
James Tak easily beat Lucy In The Sky after stalking the speed last month for a fourth win over the Sha Tin 1,200m from his nine starts. He must have claims up in grade carrying 16 pounds less. Boom prospect Call Me Glorious thrashed the honest Glorious Express last month on a soft track for a third win from his five Sha Tin 1,200m runs and the three-year-old is open to further improvement. Beauty Waves returns to the C&D of two earlier placings after producing back-to-back wins and two placings for his new trainer over the Valley 1,000m. He cannot be ignored up in grade off a light weight. Harmony N Blessed has given a good sight sitting near the speed in 12 of 14 starts at the Valley this term and he isn't the roughest over this C&D.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
PACKING TREADMILL (G161) for a short distance after the 250M had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run - Race 769.
DUKE WAI (C188) the Stewards considered a protest/objection lodged by the rider of the horse alleging interference passing the 150M. After considering all the evidence, the Stewards found that the eventual winner shifted in after the 150M and made contact with the horse, however, having regard to the minimal consequential effects of the contact and the manner in which both horses finished the race off, the Stewards overruled the protest/objection and declared weighed-in on the numbers semaphored by the Judge - Race 738.
SUPERB CAPITALIST (H092) jumped awkwardly and blundered shortly after the start, resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced - Race 779.
BEAUTY WAVES (H294) hung out on the Home Turn after being taken wider leaving the 400M. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 794.
TRACKWORK HIGHLIGHT
Call Me Glorious stumbled after the start but recovered to run fourth under a hold in a Sha Tin dirt trial on July 2.
