TROUBLE IN RUNNING

BALLISTIC WIN (J040) bumped at the start. Near the 900M was steadied when crowded - Race 183.

THE HEIR (H459) from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 209.

YUEN LONG ELITE (J272) had some difficulty obtaining clear running between the 300M and the 250M. When questioned, rider stated that his mount was fractious in the barriers just prior to the start being effected when being assisted by a starting gate handler. He said as a consequence his mount jumped awkwardly and lost ground at the start. He added that after obtaining a midfield position behind a runner, his mount finished the race off satisfactorily. After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 152.

NEW FUTURE FOLKS (J418) leaving the 100M shifted in and away from a runner, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten his mount. When questioned regarding his riding, rider stated that after being crossed by a runner in the early stages, that runner steadied the pace once it obtained the lead which resulted in his mount commencing to race keenly. He said as a result he shifted out to follow another runner near the 700M, however, his mount continued to race keenly and would not settle. He added as a result near the 600M he was obliged to shift out to avoid that runner's heels which resulted in his mount racing wide and without cover thereafter - Race 204.

MOTOMAN (J436) approaching the 1000M was steadied when crowded. Near the 600M became unbalanced when it shifted away from the running rail. After the event, rider could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 198.

RUN RAN RUN (J108) shortly after the start was crowded. After the event, rider stated that he was instructed to obtain a midfield position with cover. He said when his mount jumped well, he was unable to comply with the instructions and when caught wide in the early stages he elected to allow his mount to stride forward where it travelled in a more forward position than instructed. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued - Race 229.

LAKESHORE HERO (J288) bumped heavily at the start. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 300M. After the event, rider reported that his mount raced too keenly in the early and middle stages and as a consequence did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 181.

SMILING COLLECTOR (G128) raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 827.

LUCKY GOLD (G112) after the 900M was taken wider - Race 183.

CIRCUIT MAXIMUS (J347) jumped only fairly. After the 200M was shifted out to continue into clear running - Race 097.

SPEED SWORD (H397) from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 197.

FORTUNE WARRIOR (H229) from the 700M was left racing wide and without cover and raced keenly - Race 236.
