TROUBLE IN RUNNING

KA YING VICTORY (H287) approaching the 900M was checked when crowded. When questioned, rider stated that after commencing awkwardly his mount then raced in restricted room shortly after the start between two runners. He said when both runners then shifted ground approaching the 900M, he was obliged to check his mount and as a result his mount got its head up and lost ground. He added that that resulted in his mount settling further back in the field than anticipated. He further stated that he elected then to follow the 10th placegetter in the race as he felt that would provide his mount with the best opportunity to improve into the event. He said when that runner did not quicken from the 500M his mount became badly held up for clear running behind that runner at which point he was anticipating the 6th placegetter, which appeared to be under pressure, to give ground. He added that when the 6th placegetter maintained its position to the inside of the 10th placegetter, his mount continued to be held up for clear running until near the 100M where he was able to commence riding his mount along. He said again over the concluding stages his mount could not be ridden out when placed in restricted room. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 225.

AERIS NOVA (J534) post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 209.

JOYFUL HUNTER (H198) sustained an abrasion to the right hock at the holding stables, was examined by the vet and passed suitable to race - Race 800.

SUPER INFINITY (J320) was withdrawn on the day before raceday by order of the Stewards on vet advice (lame right hind) . Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 192.

MAJESTIC EXPRESS (J244) was fractious in the barriers, was removed and examined by the vet who said the horse was suitable to race. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a stalls test. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 350M - Race 154.

ENDUED (K033) from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 210.

LUCKY ARCHANGEL (E385) raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 164.

CHARMING BABE (J513) after travelling a short distance was checked when crowded - Race 219.

MEOWTH (J487) near the 150M rider dropped his left rein for a number of strides - Race 184.
