Age: 66. Manfred Man was a jockey in Hong Kong between 1976 and 1983 and notched a memorable triumph in the 1979 QEII Cup on Go-Getter. He then worked through the assistant trainer ranks, most notably with John Moore, and received a full trainer's licence in 2001. Man enjoyed a first Pattern race triumph with Eagle Regiment in the Centenary Sprint Cup in 2012 and brought the horse back from injury to win the same race in 2013. He also nursed Eagle Regiment to achieve a gallant third in the G1 Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan, Dubai, in 2013. Man achieved his best total of 44 winners in 2022/23, the season in which he won seven Group races with his star galloper Lucky Sweynesse. The reigning Champion Sprinter and Champion Four-Year-Old not only was a three-time G1 winner that term but also claiming each leg of the Hong Kong's Speed Series. He trained his 600th win in Hong Kong with Run Run Good in January, 2023.
