Race Eight : (304) - BUTTERFLY BAY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 HEALTHY HEALTHY (H203) H Bowman Bumped at the start.
For a short distance near the 450 Metres raced tight between CARROLL STREET and MAGIC HOLLOW.
Near the 250 Metres HEALTHY HEALTHY was taken in by CARROLL STREET.
Over the concluding stages made contact with CARROLL STREET due to both runners shifting ground.
Horse No 2 CARROLL STREET (D489) L Hewitson Over the concluding stages made contact with HEALTHY HEALTHY due to both runners shifting ground.
Horse No 3 PLEASANT ENDEAVOR (E114) E C W Wong Knuckled over on jumping, shifted out and made contact with AURIO.
A short distance later, PLEASANT ENDEAVOR was then crowded between AURIO and SKY CAP which was taken out by GRAND NOVA.

Horse No 6 HEROIC MASTER (G394) Z Purton Over the final 200 Metres lay out under pressure.

Horse No 8 O'LINER (H264) A Hamelin After the event, A Hamelin could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 SKY CAP (K125) A Pouchin Taken out shortly after the start.
Horse No 11 CHEVAL VALIANT (E336) P N Wong When giving ground near the 100 Metres was bumped by CARROLL STREET (L Hewitson) which shifted out.
L Hewitson was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
After the event, Apprentice P N Wong stated that her mount, which was having its first run in 84 days, raced keenly in the lead and as a result gave ground over the concluding stages.
She said, in her opinion, CHEVAL VALIANT would derive benefit from today's performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 GRAND NOVA (J323) K Teetan After the event, K Teetan reported that the instructions were to endeavour to find a position with cover.
He said from the inside barrier he was unable to obtain cover and this was the principal reason for GRAND NOVA not running on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 13 POSITIVE SMILE (J467) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly.

Super Fortune edged clear after claiming the lead near the 200m tracking the leader Cheval Valiant near the stands side for a sixth career win from 41 starts. Heroic Master stayed on well for second after a handy run from gate seven. He's closing in on a win with placings in three consecutive runs. Aurio came from last to just miss second. It was an eye-catching effort at his third local start and first over the straight 1,000m. Punted late, Healthy Healthy came home fourth best after a travelling in midfield near the grandstand side. It was another honest effort. Carroll Street just missed fourth prize money after making his run in better than midfield from gate 14. It was a typical result. Positive Smile made some ground late without threatening after making his run from third last following a tardy start. He might be one to keep safe soon in Class Four. Favourite Cheval Valiant was on his tippy toes 100m out after leading as expected from gate 11. He likely needed the outing off a 84-day break.
