Horse No 1 TOURBILLON PRINCE (H122) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 LO RIDER (K161) M L Yeung From the 400 Metres until the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Horse No 5 TAMRA BLITZ (G237) A Pouchin Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 6 WINNING GOLD (H461) K De Melo From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 7 MARKWIN (J420) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 ILLUMINOUS (J170) K Teetan After the event, K Teetan reported that with the early and middle stage being run outside of standard time ILLUMINOUS was unable to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 SOLID IMPACT (E447) A Badel From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
For some distance after the 550 Metres was held up for clear running behind EXCELLENCE VALUE which was commencing to give ground.
Approaching the finish could not be ridden out when it improved close to TOURBILLON PRINCE.
Horse No 10 BEAUTY VIVA (K155) L Hewitson Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between TAMRA BLITZ and LESLIE which shifted out slightly.
Near the 900 Metres, when racing keenly, struck the heels of MARKWIN and blundered when MARKWIN shifted out slightly and ILLUMINOUS (K Teetan) shifted in.
K Teetan was reprimanded.

Tourbillon Prince got up in the final bound after tracking the leader Charming Legend from gate 13 to make it back-to-back wins at juicy odds despite top weight. Storm Rider just failed to get up for the win after a one-out, one-back run. He nearly took advantage of a better draw of three. Favourite Markwin got going late near the inside to finish a very close third after making his run three wide settling fourth last from gate six. It was another good run. Charming Legend lost a placing in the final few strides after trying to make all from gate seven. It was another honest performance. Winning Wing came on nicely through the middle to just miss a top four spot after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was an eye-catching first run in Hong Kong. Beauty Crescent ran on steadily to finish a length away in sixth after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He rarely produces a bad run. Specked late, Lo Rider wasn't beaten far in the end after a box-seat run. It was a positive debut performance in Hong Kong.
