Recap by phillip woo

Jolly Companion never looked back after driving to the lead rounding the first bend from gate one for a second win from three races on the dirt under 10-pound claimer Britney Wong Po-ni this season. Mr Energia motored late down the outside to grab second in the concluding stages after a patient ride in third last from gate 10. It was a better effort on his return to the surface. Offroad Master kept on well for third after chasing the speed from gate five. It was a good performance carrying top weight following a win. Punted late, Fortune Warrior just failed to place after a prominent run wide without cover. He's run well in back-to-back outings following a return to the all-weather track. California Star ran on reasonably well without threatening the top four after settling behind midfield following a tardy start. It was an improved performance with a switch to dirt racing at his third career run. Shanghai Style ran on without threatening after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He disappointed.
