Race Six : (274) - NGAN SHING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 2 THE WAY WE WIN (J493) M L Yeung Raced tight shortly after the start.
The performance of THE WAY WE WIN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, THE WAY WE WIN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 RELIABLE PROFIT (G462) H Bowman After the event, H Bowman reported that his mount travelled only fairly during the race and after making a wide run on the Home Turn did not respond strongly to his riding thereafter and was under pressure near the 300 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 VIVA CHALEUR (G368) L Ferraris Held up for clear running making the Home Turn.
After the event, L Ferraris reported that his mount jumped awkwardly, made contact with the barriers and then bumped with YEAH BUDDY.
He said as a consequence VIVA CHALEUR settled further back than what had been intended.
Horse No 6 ALL ARE MINE (H293) Y L Chung Bumped shortly after the start.
After the event, Y L Chung reported that his mount would derive benefit from tonight's performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 JUMBO FORTUNE (G195) J McDonald Approaching the 300 Metres raced tight between ALL ARE MINE and TALE OF PERTH which shifted out.
After the event, J McDonald reported that his mount did not appreciate the kickback from the All Weather surface.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of JUMBO FORTUNE was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, JUMBO FORTUNE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 8 ACE POWER (J181) M Chadwick From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 REGENT GLORY (E323) A Hamelin Jumped awkwardly.
Over-raced in the early stages and for some distance near the 1300 Metres was steadied away from MASSIVE ACTION.
Horse No 10 SIGHT SUPREME (J258) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 11 YEAH BUDDY (J430) K C Leung Bumped at the start.
Horse No 12 SPANGLE FORTUNE (G427) P N Wong Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 13 YODA'S CHOICE (J146) A Pouchin After the event, A Pouchin reported that his mount was disadvantaged when being pressured in the lead by SPANGLE FORTUNE.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After a patient ride second last, Sight Supreme came with a perfectly timed run near the inside to just collar Spangle Fortune by a lip for a first win at his fifth start. The well-backed Spangle Fortune was just denied after leading just under the 200m after rushing forward to prompt the pace three wide without cover 1,050m out. It was a solid run in defeat up in grade. Viva Chaleur ran on nicely down the outside for third after making his run two from the rear. It was a better run with a switch in surfaces. Massive Action grudgingly gave way after getting pressured for the lead to his outside by the sensationally backed Yoda's Choice and Spangle Fortune. It was his best run of the campaign. Favourite Reliable Profit ran on steadily with two wider out for fifth after making his run three from the rear. He had his winning streak halted at three after having to carry six pounds more. Regent Glory kept on one-paced after a prominent run along the inside. He didn't get the mile trip. Yeah Buddy failed to respond when asked for an effort after a handy run with cover one off the fence.
