Racing Incident Report
Race One : (269) - BANYAN HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 DOUBLE BINGO (J309) Y L Chung On jumping made heavy contact with the right side of its barrier and lost ground.
Horse No 2 SILVER DESTINY (J096) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.
After the event, H Bowman reported that his mount did not travel well due to the race being run slightly inside of standard time and as a result did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 SONIC BOOM (H144) M Chadwick Near the 900 Metres was steadied away from WOODFIRE CHAMP when being shifted out to obtain a position behind that runner.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 FANCY STAR (H428) K C Leung After the event, K C Leung reported that with blinkers being applied for the first time he was instructed to take up a forward position.
Trainer C Fownes confirmed the instructions issued.
Horse No 6 WOODFIRE CHAMP (H292) M L Yeung After the event, M L Yeung reported that his mount did not travel well due to the race being run slightly inside of standard time and as a result did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have blood in the mouth.
Horse No 7 SUPER GLORY (J025) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 FALCON COURT (J056) B Thompson Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Excellent Daddy came from near last and widest out to just claim Cheer For South in the shadows of the post for a third win from 35 starts. Punted late, Cheer For South found one too good after improving along the inside to sit box seat mid-race. It was a fine effort at his first go on the all-weather track. Diamond Soars was just touched off late after kicking clear by two lengths 200m out following a front-running role from gate one. It was a better effort on his return to the dirt. Favourite Sonic Boom took a while to wind up but did eventually get going with two wider out to dead-heat for third after making his run one-off from behind midfield. He should get away with a race shortly in this grade. Falcon Court ran on well to just miss the frame after biding his time fourth last from an outside draw. It was a better effort. Speedy Fortune ran on steadily to finish on the bottom of a clumped finish following a one-off trip from midfield. It was a long way back to Silver Destiny, who peaked on his move 100m out following a rails run from behind midfield. He's in the right grade but should stick to turf racing.
