Race Two : (270) - SHA LEK HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 GO GO GO (H196) E C W Wong Entering the Back Straight near the 1100 Metres shifted away from the running rail which resulted in GO GO GO, which was racing keenly, improving into a tight position to the inside of PRECISION GOAL.
When PRECISION GOAL shifted back towards the running rail near the 800 Metres, GO GO GO was steadied away from PRECISION GOAL.
Horse No 2 SOARING BRONCO (J162) J McDonald After the event, J McDonald could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 SOLAR GOGO (H390) K C Leung Steadied near the 800 Metres.
Horse No 4 MR ALADDIN (H386) A Pouchin Jumped awkwardly.
When giving ground near the 300 Metres was eased when momentarily crowded between CHATEAU LE PECHE and JOYFUL CHAMPION which shifted out slightly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, MR ALADDIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 PRECISION GOAL (H016) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) C L Chau A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 YEABOI (G372) M F Poon M F Poon was fined the sum of $5,000 for using his whip in a manner where his whip arm was raised above his shoulder height on a number of occasions in the early part of the Home Straight.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 12 SUPERB MOVE (G304) A Hamelin From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 13 JOYFUL CHAMPION (G072) M Chadwick After arriving behind the barriers was resaddled when the stirrup leather required replacing.
Horse No 5 COLOURFUL BARON (G301) L Hewitson Withdrawn on 16.12.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever).
Before being allowed to race again, COLOURFUL BARON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 8 HARRY'S HERO (H332) K De Melo Withdrawn on 17.12.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (inappetence).

After a rails run from just worse than midfield, Yeaboi wove a path near the inside to get up in the last stride and deny long-time leader Precision Goal for a second win at his 31st start. Precision Goal was just touched off late after driving to the lead from gate 12. His rider Hugh Bowman did everything but get the win. Go Go Go stayed on for a nonthreatening third after getting every chance in the box seat. It was another honest performance. Joyful Champion finished well for fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's a consistent performer in the grade but doesn't win often. Superb Move made some ground to finish fifth without threatening the top fourth after settling second last from the widest draw. It was an OK performance with a return to dirt racing. Favourite Soaring Bronco had his chance tracking the leader from gate two but only plodded over the last 200m. It was another disappointing performance despite a downgrade. Solar Gogo found nothing under the whip after a prominent run along the inside. It was another dull effort despite a downgrade and switch in surfaces.
