Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (272) - SHA TIN WAI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 GOLDEN LONG (H462) J McDonald A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
As this was the second occasion that GOLDEN LONG had bled, the horse is permanently barred from any further racing.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 GOR MO TUEN (J434) C L Chau Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 4 MOJAVE DESERT (J330) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 CHILL KAKA (J486) A Pouchin Near the 400 Metres was briefly held up for clear running behind VULCANUS.
Horse No 8 SKY DEEP (K041) A Hamelin Jumped only fairly.
After the 350 Metres lay in and away from E UNIVERSE and as a result was corrected by its rider.
Horse No 9 LIGHTNING BOLT (G130) H Bowman Near the 50 Metres was held up for clear running when racing tight between SKY DEEP and VULCANUS.
Horse No 10 VULCANUS (J150) C Y Ho Raced wide and without cover from the 750 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 GOOD VIEW GLORY (H154) B Thompson A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.
Before being allowed to race again, GOOD VIEW GLORY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 12 PERFECT PEACH (E488) M L Yeung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Mojave Desert kept up a strong gallop after hitting the lead 200m out for a first local win at his eighth start following a stable change. He relished a step back in distance and was a well-rated runner after arriving off a mark of 68. Early favourite Vulcanus stayed on well for second after getting posted wide without cover from midfield. It was a solid performance up in grade following a win. Newcomer Chill Kaka ran on nicely for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was an eye-catching run on debut and he will be winning races in no time. Sky Deep just missed a placing after a prominent run on the fence from gate one. He's been naturally coming to hand in his three starts. Natural High gradually faded after leading one off the fence outside King Glorioso. It was his best run to date following a move to blinkers and return to dirt racing. Lightning Bolt ran on without threatening after a rails run from behind midfield. He's not the force he used to be. Perfect Peach made some ground late to finish next best following a patient ride second last from gate nine. He's itching for a return to Class Five.
