Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (326) - CAROLINE HILL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 MAGNIFICENT NINE (H433) Z Purton Bumped at the start.
Z Purton was warned in relation to using his whip in a forehand manner forward of the saddle on a number of occasions over the concluding stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 ANOTHER WORLD (K005) L Hewitson Bumped at the start.
Near the 650 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from COSMO LIGHT.
Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.
Near the 200 Metres was checked when disappointed for clear running between MASTER OF ALL and SKY DEEP (A Atzeni) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
As a result, ANOTHER WORLD did not obtain clear running until approaching the 50 Metres.

Horse No 5 AMAZING RUN (H401) H Bowman From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
When commencing to finish the race off well became held up for clear running behind NEWBORN MIRACLE near the 100 Metres and as a result could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
Horse No 6 BABY SATELLITE (J262) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 7 COSMO LIGHT (J379) B Thompson Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Horse No 8 FLYING AKEED (J471) M F Poon On jumping was steadied when crowded between ANOTHER WORLD and MAGNIFICENT NINE, both of which shifted ground.
Horse No 9 JOYOUS LILY (J525) C Y Ho After the event, C Y Ho stated that his mount failed to respond to his riding in the early part of the Home Straight and when not in a competitive position he eased it down from the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of JOYOUS LILY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, JOYOUS LILY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 10 SKY DEEP (K041) A Atzeni When questioned, A Atzeni stated that the instructions were to hold a forward position but preferably with cover.
He said when SKY DEEP jumped well he was obliged to go forward and cross runners to his inside which resulted in SKY DEEP racing in a more forward position than what he had anticipated.
When questioned regarding his riding out, A Atzeni stated that when his mount shifted in near the 200 Metres it took some time to respond to his efforts to correct.
He said as a result passing the 100 Metres SKY DEEP shifted out which presented a run to the inside for the winner ANOTHER WORLD.
The Stewards were satisfied that Jockey Atzeni was riding in a manner to look after the safety of his fellow rider.

Horse No 11 WIN SPEED (J205) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 12 STORM RUNNER (J452) K C Leung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 13 GALLANT EPOCH (J451) A Pouchin Near the 150 Metres was steadied when awkwardly placed between NEWBORN MIRACLE and ANOTHER WORLD which shifted out after being checked.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 14 MULTIBINGO (J548) Y L Chung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Another World travelled fourth last and shrugged of a check 150m out to dive late and make it back-to-back wins following a step up to 1,400m from four starts. He has the tools to hold his own up in grade off a light weight. Sky Deep wouldn't go down without a fight after poking his head in front 150m out following a speed-tracking run with a gear change to visors. Magnificent Nine found a couple just too good after biding his time fifth last from gate 11. He should be winning a race shortly if he remains in the grade. Master Of All faded to finish fourth after dictating the run from gate 12. It was another honest effort. Newborn Miracle produced a grinding effort after a prominent run one off the fence. It was a positive performance with a rise in trip seven days between runs. Punted late Win Speed ran on steadily without menacing after peeling off heels for a clear run 200m out following a rails run from behind midfield. Gallant Epoch kept on one-paced after getting impeded by the eventual winner 150m out following a handy run.
