Even-money favourite Packing Angel settled one-out, one-back, hit the lead 200m out and kept on nicely for a second consecutive win, despite a rise in class, from five starts. Kaholo Angel closed off well for second after getting posted wide with cover from behind midfield. He's a winner waiting to happen after catching the eye for seconds in backto- back runs. Bundle Award ran on nicely for second after a rails run from midfield. It was a much-improved effort. Punted late Light Years Charm made up heaps of ground late near the outside for fourth after fading back to travel third last from gate 11. He has run well in defeat in both local runs over 1,400m. Lo Pan Spirit gradually faded after a speed-tracking run from gate 13 with late betting support. He isn't far off finding a rating bottom. King Of Fighters made some ground without threatening after a rails run from behind midfield. It was an OK effort on his local debut. Charming Babe finished next best after having the leader Bucephalas fall back on his lap after a box-seat run.

Race Ten : (327) - BROADWOOD HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 KEEFY (G306) K C Leung Bumped at the start.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 2 KAHOLO ANGEL (H216) C Y Ho Bumped at the start.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 SILO (J399) H Bowman Bumped on jumping and became unbalanced.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 EQUATORIAL (J128) Y L Chung Crowded at the start by CHARMING BABE which jumped awkwardly and shifted in.

Over the concluding stages was held up for clear running behind KING OF FIGHTERS and as a consequence could not be ridden out to the finish.

Horse No 5 BUNDLE AWARD (K020) A Badel Jumped only fairly.

Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.

Horse No 6 KING OF FIGHTERS (K174) B Avdulla Shifted in at the start and was bumped.

Near the 400 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running.

Horse No 8 NEW FUTURE FOLKS (J418) B Thompson For some distance near the 900 Metres raced keenly when positioned to the inside of PACKING ANGEL and being steadied to allow that runner to cross.

Passing the 900 Metres NEW FUTURE FOLKS was steadied to avoid PACKING ANGEL (Z Purton) when that runner shifted in when not fully clear.

Z Purton was advised to exercise more care.

Raced tight between BUNDLE AWARD and KEEFY near the 300 Metres.

After the event, B Thompson reported that his mount raced too keenly throughout the middle stages and as a result was unable to run on in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 STELLAR SWIFT (J139) A Pouchin From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of PATCH OF COSMO to secure clear running.

Horse No 11 LIGHT YEARS CHARM (K130) A Atzeni Made contact with a rail whilst being saddled, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to start.

Bumped at the start.

Horse No 12 PATCH OF COSMO (J357) L Ferraris Bumped at the start.

After the 300 Metres was steadied when crowded between SILO and KEEFY (K C Leung) which, after shifting in and making contact with NEW FUTURE FOLKS (B Thompson), then shifted out and away from that runner when giving ground after initially being taken out slightly by NEW FUTURE FOLKS.

Both K C Leung and B Thompson were advised to exercise more care.

Horse No 13 PACKING ANGEL (J454) Z Purton Stumbled on entering the track whilst proceeding to the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to start.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 14 CHARMING BABE (J513) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly.
