Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (321) - TAI LAM HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 HONG LOK GOLF (J517) H Bentley Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 ELEGANT LIFE (J366) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.
After the event, H Bowman could offer no explanation for his mount's failure to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 MOTOMAN (J436) L Ferraris After the event, L Ferraris reported that his mount raced keenly in the middle stages which resulted in him shifting to a three wide position outside of COLONEL approaching the 600 Metres.
Horse No 6 DREAMING WINNER (K046) M Chadwick Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 7 KA YING RADIANCE (K134) Z Purton Between the 300 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running.
Over the concluding stages was then shifted to the outside of KING OBERON to continue into clear running but had further difficulty obtaining clear running when KING OBERON lay out under pressure.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 VICTORY PATCH (J415) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 10 NEW POWER (H325) B Avdulla After the event, B Avdulla reported that the intention was to hold an on-pace position but after jumping awkwardly and losing ground, he shifted his mount across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 11 LOVING VIBES (J359) K Teetan Between approaching the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind KING PROFIT.
For some distance thereafter LOVING VIBES raced tight to the inside of KING PROFIT when improving into a narrow run inside that runner.
Horse No 12 KING OBERON (H407) L Hewitson Lay out over the concluding stages.

Hong Lok Golf went back from a tricky gate but ran on nicely down the outside to get up 60m out to remain perfect in two starts. It was a nice effort. King Oberon found one too good after briefly poking his head in front 100m out following a one-off trip from midfield. He was able to back up a placing last time out. Punted late Loving Vibes stayed on much better for third after finding no daylight early in the straight travelling third along the inside. It was clearly his best effort. Favourite Ka Ying Radiance was badly held up for a run until the last 100m following a rails run from behind midfield. It was an encouraging debut performance. New Power came from last and widest out for fifth. He keeps promising but has yet to deliver in five starts this term. King Profit was on his tippy toes 100m out after finding the lead from gate four. The change in tactics failed to pan out after chasing the speed for second last start in a higher grade. Specked late Motoman gradually faded after a prominent run. He's still trying to find the right range.
