Recap by phillip woo

Raging Blizzard was ridden patiently at the rear and quickened nicely near the inside to get up near the 100m for a sixth win and two on the trot over this course and distance from 13 starts. Gorgeous Win ran on nicely after a rails run from midfield to just win a three-horse battle for second. He's as honest as the day is long over this course and distance. Copartner Prance stayed on well to just get the nostril down for third after a prominent run one off the fence. He acquitted himself well down in grade carrying top weight. Swift Ascend ran on nicely near the outside to just miss a placing after a oneoff trip from behind midfield. It was a positive showing up in grade. Wunderbar only plodded when asked for an effort after chasing the leader Full Credit one off the fence from gate two. He might possibly be at or near his mark following back-to-back defeats. Punted late Full Credit was on his tippy toes 100m out after setting a genuine pace up front from gate nine. He's likely on his mark on this surface following a win on the dirt.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven : (324) - TAI TONG HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1200Meters

Horse No 3 RAGING BLIZZARD (H368) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.

Near the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind WUNDERBAR.

When WUNDERBAR lay out after the 250 Metres RAGING BLIZZARD was then able to obtain clear running to the inside of that runner soon after.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 WUNDERBAR (H411) Z Purton Near the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid FULL CREDIT (L Hewitson) which shifted in when not clear.

L Hewitson was advised to ensure he is clear when shifting ground.

Approaching the 250 Metres lay out under pressure.

When questioned, Z Purton stated that although his mount raced keenly in the early stages this was its usual racing style.

He said in the Home Straight he was disappointed with the finishing effort of WUNDERBAR but could offer no explanation as to why it did not finish the race off strongly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 6 GORGEOUS WIN (J008) B Avdulla Near the 900 Metres became unbalanced when momentarily positioned tight to the inside of COPARTNER PRANCE which lay in despite the efforts of its rider.

Near the 150 Metres B Avdulla was restricted from using his whip for several strides when positioned close to WUNDERBAR.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 FULL CREDIT (J185) L Hewitson After the event, L Hewitson stated that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to cross to the lead.

He said as a result FULL CREDIT found it difficult to finish the race off strongly but he was not too disappointed with the performance in the circumstances.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
