Horse No 1 GALE SAGA (J152) M F Poon Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 THE CONCENTRATION (H465) L Ferraris After the event, L Ferraris stated that his mount commenced to give ground approaching the 200 Metres and he could offer no explanation for the horse's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) C L Chau Approaching the 600 Metres raced tight to the inside of THE KHAN.
Horse No 4 MERCHANT PRINCE (H268) B Thompson Slow to begin.
Horse No 7 EXCELLENT DADDY (E321) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 8 THE KHAN (H489) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 9 SUPER JOY (G251) M Chadwick Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 12 HO HO STAR (H291) Z Purton Bumped at the start.
Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied and got its head up when positioned close to the heels of VERBIER and then continued to race keenly for some distance thereafter.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Punted late Gale Saga responded nicely to take control 150m out after a well-executed ride to travel effectively one-out, one-back from gate eight for a first win at his sixth start. The downgrade worked the oracle. Favourite Ho Ho Star ran on strongly near the outside to just take second after making his run five back and one off the fence. He proved a hard-charging second a week earlier was not a fluke. Well-backed Dragon Delight stayed on well for third after a box seat run. He is always a chance at this level. Verbier battled on OK for fourth after a handy run along the inside. It was a better effort with a step back in distance after showing little a week earlier over 1,600m. The Khan ran on without threatening widest out after travelling wide towards the rear. He keeps promising without delivering. Tsuen Wan Glory did not have much left in the tank over the last 100m after getting his own way in front from gate 11. He needed the outing.
