Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (100) - ROWING AND TABLE TENNIS 1400M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 STELLAR SWIFT (J139) H Bowman Bumped shortly after the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 SUNNY DA BEST (J118) A Atzeni Approaching the 150 Metres shifted in abruptly before being corrected by its rider.
After the event, A Atzeni stated that his intention was to hold a more forward position, however, SUNNY DA BEST failed to show sufficient pace to do so despite his efforts.
He added when caught wide in the early stages he attempted to find cover, but after being crossed by STRATHPEFFER was obliged to race very wide and without cover from the 1000 Metres when his mount was taken wider by JUBILANT WINNER.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 I AM THE BOSS (H446) M L Yeung Near the 100 Metres, when commencing to give ground, was eased when momentarily crowded between TEAM HAPPY and DOUBLE WIN which shifted out.
After the event, M L Yeung confirmed that from an inside barrier he was instructed to take up a more forward position today.
Horse No 4 LIGHTNING BOLT (G130) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded shortly after the start.
Horse No 6 RED ACLAIM (J017) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
Approaching the 150 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by SUNNY DA BEST which shifted in.
Horse No 7 JUBILANT WINNER (J346) Z Purton Bumped shortly after the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 DOUBLE WIN (H382) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.
Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres and again was unable to obtain clear running between the 100 Metres and the 50 Metres when positioned behind DRAGON FOUR SEAS.
Horse No 10 DRAGON FOUR SEAS (J317) K C Leung After the event, K C Leung confirmed that his instructions were to hold an on-pace position but preferably with cover.
He said when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to allow his mount to stride forward and lead the event to avoid racing wide.
Horse No 12 STRATHPEFFER (H095) M Chadwick Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 14 MR GOOD VIBES (H180) A Badel Shortly after the start was checked when crowded by STRATHPEFFER (M Chadwick) which shifted in.
M Chadwick was reprimanded.

Favourite Stellar Swift travelld one-off from behind midfield and lifted late for a first win at his seventh local start. He relished a rise in trip after a second last month over 1,200m. Jubilant Winner did everything right but get the win after moving to the lead 100m out following a one-off trip from midfield. He's a winner waiting to happen. Dragon Four Seas gave a good sight to hold onto third after rushing forward to lead from gate 13. He's close to a win following back-to-back placings this season. Double Win produced a pleasing fourth after getting held up for a run over the final 100m along the inside from midfield. It was a better effort on his return to Sha Tin second up this term. Firming late in betting, Strathpeffer wasn't beaten far in the end after a prominent run wide without cover. He can bob up at any moment after pleasing efforts from outside gates in both starts this term. Happy Daily ran on without threatening from towards the rear. Team Happy didn't find much over the final 150m after tracking the leader from a tricky gate.
