In certain parts of Asia, however, this promises something that everyone could do with having more of: better health.

This unusual drink, known as snake wine, has been consumed for centuries, and many believe it offers a range of medicinal benefits.

Snake wine is thought to have originated from traditional Chinese medicine, where animal-based remedies have long been believed to treat ailments and improve health.
