From snake-themed events to whether your luck is in: discover all you need to know about the coming Lunar New Year in our Year of the Snake 2025 series.
What does 2025’s coming Year of the Snake have in store for those born in the Year of the Tiger (1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010)
Lucky colour: gold; lucky element: gold; lucky number 9
Tigers will “harm” the tai sui, or guardian deity, this year but with the help of benefactors and under the illumination of two powerful auspicious stars, there will be good fortune with money for this sign.

The two auspicious stars both bring the help of benefactors. For business owners, this will mean strong support from customers and a significant increase in income.
Employees who are Tigers will take centre stage at work and will be appreciated by their superiors and bosses.
However, because of the harm flowing from them to the tai sui it will be easy for Tigers to get into financial disputes. So those engaging in business or investment partnerships should clearly state terms and conditions and seek legal advice.
At the same time, Tigers’ health and home life will be poor this year, as a result of which they will incur many unexpected expenses. It is recommended to buy medical and home insurance with sufficient coverage in advance.


Wealth and career
With the support of auspicious stars, Tigers will have great career advancement, and this year is particularly beneficial for the self-employed and businesspeople. This will be the year where Tigers’ hard work will come to fruition and will be appreciated.
This is also the year to seize the opportunity to develop new business areas and expand. Those in employment should express their wish for a raise or promotion to their superiors or bosses, while those who are interested in changing jobs or seeking changes should do so.
However, because the zodiac sign is harming the tai sui, they will be the target of haters and naysayers, resulting in disputes and rumours, but Tigers should ignore them and do their own thing.

Love and relationships
There are no romance stars for single Tigers this year because of the conflict with the tai sui. Their romance luck will be poor and they may feel their chance of meeting a potential partner is lower than other zodiac signs.
Tigers who want to meet potential love interests have to take the initiative this year and be proactive in seeking love.
Married Tigers will see ups and downs in their relationship with their partner, and should not pick fights over trivial matters. It’s better to practise tolerance and patience in their relationships this year.
Health and home
The biggest side effect of harming the tai sui this year is a hit to their health. Tigers should visit a temple to perform a sip tai sui prayer ritual; donate blood; or have their teeth cleaned during the first month and the seventh lunar months to offset some of the bad vibes.
There are a lot of bad stars affecting the Tiger’s home life, and they should think about buying home insurance and consider making small repairs or replacing furniture, to help refresh the energy of their home.
At the same time, they need to pay special attention to the health of themselves and their elders in the family. In years like this where their home life is not good, Tigers should avoid visiting places with strong negative energy, such as hospitals and cemeteries.
