From snake-themed events to whether your luck is in: discover all you need to know about the coming Lunar New Year in our Year of the Snake 2025 series.
What does 2025’s coming Year of the Snake have in store for those born in the Year of the Dragon (1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012)
Lucky colour: yellow; lucky element: yellow crystal; lucky number 10
The Year of the Snake is set to be a prosperous one for Dragons, which could mean more money from their job, business, investments or speculation. This is a good year to buy that investment property or put some money into the markets.

New clients and customers will also be attracted to their business and work.
Salary earners can expect smooth sailing at work and either a promotion or pay rise.
However, under the influence of an evil star, Dragons’ health will not be great this year, and they may incur unexpected expenses. They may want to get medical insurance and accident insurance with sufficient coverage in advance to transfer the risk to the insurance company.


Wealth and career
Good interpersonal relationships brought on by the romance star will have a positive impact on Dragons’ careers this year as well. If they have any thoughts about changing jobs or developing new businesses this year, now is the time to turn their dreams into reality.
The self-employed and businesspeople will also see the upside of good interpersonal relationships, with new partnerships and joint ventures. They may also consider expanding their business territory.
Dragons will be everybody’s friend in the office, and their work will be recognised by their superiors, which could mean a promotion and a pay rise.

However, being affected by a bad star means that they will be thrown into unfamiliar situations and face new challenges. Fortunately, they do not need to worry; they can ask their colleagues for advice.
Love and relationships
The romance star will be particularly beneficial for female energy in the Year of the Snake and this year, Dragon ladies will find their match. Single women can be confident and take the initiative to approach potential partners.
In this year of true romance, single men will also meet their soul mates.
The star for love and affection is so strong that it will help Dragons become parents, so keep a healthy diet and keep trying.
However, under the influence of a cursed star, Dragons who are already in a relationship will not have such a good year. They will often feel isolated from their partners and misunderstandings may occur. Dragons should plan for extra dates and trips with their other half.

Health and home
There are two cursed stars affecting Dragon’s health this year, and at best it will be an average year. They will be prone to minor illnesses and respiratory-related diseases, so Dragons need to take care of themselves.
Work pressures may lead to minor problems such as stress, headache, insomnia, stomach ache and so on. This will be a good year to start a self-care routine if they haven’t already, and start practising tai chi or yoga.
Those born under the sign of the Dragon should also get a physical examination at the end of the Year of the Dragon, just in case.
