Recap by phillip woo

After turning the final bend one off the rail behind midfield, post-time favourite Sky Jewellery responded nicely to win going away in the concluding stages. It was a smart debut win on the back of eight progressive trials. Vigor Elleegant did everything but get the win after moving to the lead 50m out following a handy run along the fence. He was able to build on a long-priced fifth last time out with the claim well utilised. Silver Spurs grudgingly gave way after going forward to lead from gate seven. It was a good effort with a step up to 1,200m. Telecom Dragon stayed on well for fourth after improving from near the rear at the 800m to sit wide with cover in midfield 450m out. It was another genuine effort from gate 12 after placing in his first three Valley 1,200m runs. Almighty Kick ran on nicely for fifth after biding his time a clear last following a slow start. He must be kept safe in Class Five after showing flashes of ability in his six starts. Punted late, Owners' Praise made inroads late near the inside to win a blanket finish for sixth after a patient ride three from the rear.
