Horse No 1 YEE CHEONG SPIRIT (H379) H Bowman Bumped at the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 NORTHERN FIRE BALL (J488) Z Purton A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 POLARIS (J404) K C Leung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 4 MOTOMAN (J436) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 SUPER CHARIZZARD (J184) L Ferraris Bumped at the start.
After the 500 Metres was steadied to avoid SPICY SO SMART.
Near the 350 Metres was steadied away from SPICY SO SMART.
Horse No 6 YOUNG HORIZON (G272) B Thompson Shortly after the start was crowded between WINNING HEART and WISDOM STAR which shifted out.
YOUNG HORIZON was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 600 Metres was bumped by WINNING HEART when that horse improved to the outside of TELECOM POWER.
As a result, YOUNG HORIZON raced wide and without cover thereafter.
Horse No 7 ACE POWER (J181) A Pouchin From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the first turn after the 1000 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by YEE CHEONG SPIRIT (H Bowman) which lay in and away from WINNING HEART despite the efforts of its rider H Bowman.
Horse No 8 TELECOM POWER (J332) K Teetan Jumped only fairly and then shortly after shifted out and made contact with YEE CHEONG SPIRIT.
Near the 350 Metres was steadied when crowded between POLARIS and SUPER CHARIZZARD which shifted out when being steadied away from SPICY SO SMART.
Over the final 50 Metres was unable to be fully ridden out when positioned close to SUPER CHARIZZARD which shifted out slightly.
Horse No 9 WISDOM STAR (J351) A Hamelin From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 SPICY SO SMART (G203) M Chadwick After the 600 Metres bumped with MOTOMAN and became unbalanced.
Horse No 11 RAGNARR (H297) M F Poon Shifted out at the start and bumped SUPER CHARIZZARD.
Approaching the finish could not be ridden out when positioned tight to the inside of SUPER CHARIZZARD.

After sitting one off chasing the speed, the well-backed Motoman responded nicely to get up near the 100m for a first win at his eighth local start. A gear change and return to the Valley worked the oracle after he showed a bit more spark last time out. Yee Cheong Spirit ran on strongly to just take second after making his run fourth last from gate six. It was a return to form after failing in a paceless race last start. Winning Heart was just outdashed for second with two wider out after a wide trip with cover travelling behind midfield from gate 12. It was another honest performance without winning despite a rise in class. Punted late, Super Charizzard ran on steadily for fourth without threatening the top three after a lovely run fourth along the inside. It was an OK effort up in grade after winning two of three prior starts. Northern Fire Ball folded late after leading from gate seven. He couldn't offset a seven-pound rise in the weights following a win. Ace Power made some ground late after turning the final bend one from the rear. He requires further rating relief.
