Race Four : (350) - JACKSON HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 MAJESTIC KNIGHT (G258) H Bowman Crowded shortly after the start.
Horse No 4 TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303) L Ferraris Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between HEALTHY HEALTHY and MAJESTIC KNIGHT which was taken out by YOUTHFUL SPIRITS.
After the 100 Metres was shifted to the inside of WHIZZ KID to continue into clear running.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when positioned close to YOUTHFUL SPIRITS.
Horse No 5 BRAVE STAR (G268) K C Leung After the event, K C Leung stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event and also would be benefited by stepping up in distance for its next start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (J316) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.
Approaching the 600 Metres raced keenly when being steadied to allow YOUTHFUL SPIRITS to cross to the rail.
For some distance after the 150 Metres was taken out by YOUTHFUL SPIRITS which shifted out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 STELLAR EXPRESS (J186) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 HEALTHY HEALTHY (H203) K Teetan Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
After the event, K Teetan reported that his mount hung out on the Home Turn and as a result made that turn wider.
Horse No 9 YOUTHFUL SPIRITS (J082) M Chadwick Shortly after the start shifted out and was bumped.

After recovering from a sluggish start to travel box seat, firming favourite Bottomuptogether got up 60m out for a fourth win from eight starts. He handled a move to the Valley with aplomb and can win again. Stellar Express ran on nicely to grab second in the shadows of the post after finding a spot one off with cover travelling midfield from the widest draw. He acquitted himself very well in his first run at the Valley after a last-start win. Youthful Spirits wouldn't go down without a fight after finding the lead from gate three. It was a solid run up in grade off a light weight. Majestic Knight got going late near the inside to finish a close fourth after a patient ride three from the rear. It was a return to form over his favourite Valley 1,000m but the big weight did cost him. Tomodachi Kokoroe got going late for fifth without threatening the top four after settling last following a tardy start. He's crying out for a return to his favourite Valley 1,200m. Punted late, Healthy Healthy got going late down the outside to pick up a minor cheque following a patient ride second last from gate six. He's at best a Class Three horse.
