Recap by phillip woo

Following a rails run better than midfield, firming favourite Take Action took full advantage of gate one to assume control near the 150m for a second Valley mile win from his past four starts. He was able to build on a last-start third with pacifiers in play. Punted late, Lucky Touch sustained a run from the 600m to grab second after a wide trip with cover from behind midfield. It was another honest effort. Northern Beast came from last and widest out upon straightening to edge Wah May Wai Wai for third. He's always a chance over the Valley 1,650m. Wah May Wai Wai found a few too good after briefly reclaiming the lead 200m out after settling second behind leader Excel Wongchoy. He's close to a win. Corleone ran on steadily without menacing after getting posted very wide until slotting in one off with cover 800m out. He had an excuse. Panda Legend ran on late to just take sixth prize money after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was an OK effort at his first try over the Valley 1,650m. Gor Mo Tuen peaked on his move along the inside from towards the rear 200m out. He's limited.
