Recap by phillip woo

Heavily punted, Aurora Lady was too good after moving to the lead 200m out despite a prominent run wide and without cover the entire trip from gate 12 for a second win. Kyrus Dragon finished strongly for second after a patient ride one from the rear. It was another fine performance carrying more weight following back-to-back wins. Super Joy N Fun ran on well for third after settling one off the rail with cover from better than midfield. He has the tools to add to an earlier win this season. Punted late, Storming Dragon ran on nicely for fourth from behind midfield. He was able to hold his own up in grade off a light weight following a win. Spicy Gold was strung up in traffic over the final 150m when trying to get into the act following a run on the rail five back. He should have finished closer. Denfield got going late near the outside to finish level for fifth after making his run two from the rear. Favourite Chateauneuf stayed on for fifth but did have his chance after settling one the rail in midfield. You can forget the run of Gustosisimo who was strung up in traffic from the 250m until the 100m following a box-seat run.
