Race Two : (232) - FRANCE HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 EVER SMART (J179) J McDonald Approaching the 1000 Metres lay in and away from ALLOY KING as that runner shifted in.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 FAIRY HORSE (J144) H Bowman FAIRY HORSE, which was fractious in the barriers, jumped only fairly.
After the event, H Bowman reported that after beginning only fairly, his mount then commenced to race keenly and making the first turn was checked away from WINNING HEART.
He said as a consequence FAIRY HORSE finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 WINNING HEART (H065) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 GOOD VIEW GLORY (H154) M Barzalona Bumped on jumping.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 SUPER EAGLE (G408) K Teetan On jumping bounded and became badly unbalanced, resulting in its rider K Teetan almost being dislodged and his right foot being displaced from his stirrup for a short distance and SUPER EAGLE losing ground.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 TATTENHAM (H121) A Pouchin Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 8 SPEEDY CHARIOT (H193) H Doyle Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Raced wide and without cover from the 600 Metres.
Horse No 9 LAPRAS (H374) L Ferraris When under pressure in the Home Straight lay in.

Sensationally backed Good View Glory quickened nicely to get up in the final few strides after settling one off the rail behind midfield. It was his second win at his 17th start and clearly his best performance from five runs over this course and distance. He did have an excuse last start after a positive fifth first up this term. Early favourite Winning Heart did everything right but could not get the win after poking his head in front 50m out. He's a winner waiting to happen. Ever Smart stayed on well for third after a one-out, one-back run. It was his best run to date following a downgrade. Wind Speeder ran on steadily for fourth without threatening the top three. It was another honest effort off a quick back up. Speedy Chariot ran on late down the outside for fifth after travelling wide towards the rear. He is close to a win. Tattenham ran on without threatening through the middle after making his run four from the rear. It was a typical performance. Fairy Horse made some ground late with one wider out travelling fourth last after a tardy start. He has the tools to win a race in this grade but is not reliable.
