Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (237) - LONGINES INTERNATIONAL JOCKEYS' CHAMPIONSHIP (HANDICAP)- 3RD LEG - Class 3 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 LOVERO (H451) H Bowman After the event, H Bowman stated that although his mount jumped awkwardly, it was able to lead the event.
He said in the Home Straight LOVERO did not respond to his riding and weakened over the concluding stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of LOVERO, a last start winner, was considered disappointing as compared to its last race start.
Before being allowed to race again, LOVERO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 3 M UNICORN (G466) W Buick Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 4 ROMANTIC LAOS (G476) C Keane Near the 900 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by COMET SPLENDIDO which shifted out slightly.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 5 SILO (J399) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 DARING PURSUIT (G424) R Moore When questioned, R Moore stated that near the 50 Metres he felt his mount go amiss and eased it down from the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, DARING PURSUIT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 7 COMET SPLENDIDO (G071) J McDonald Shortly after the start was crowded between SILO and M UNICORN.
Horse No 8 JUMBO LEGEND (G266) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start was checked when crowded by SUPER UNICORN which shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider.
After the race, C Y Ho reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have an epiglottic entrapment.
Horse No 9 NEVER TOO SOON (E434) Y Kawada Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 10 SUPER UNICORN (H481) M Barzalona Near the 300 Metres shifted out and made contact with DARING PURSUIT.
SUPER UNICORN then lay out in the early part of the Home Straight and after being corrected by its rider shifted in towards SILO, resulting in its rider M Barzalona having to stop riding and straighten his mount near the 150 Metres.
Noted to have sustained a small abrasion to the left hind pastern.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 AESTHETICISM (H289) Z Purton Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between SOLEIL FIGHTER and NEVER TOO SOON.
When finishing the race off well over the concluding stages raced in restricted room between SOLEIL FIGHTER and SILO.
Horse No 12 SOLEIL FIGHTER (J127) H Doyle Sent for sampling post-race.

Punted late, Soleil Fighter just scrambled in after moving to the lead 120m out following a prominent run on the fence for a first local win at his eighth start. He'll remain in the grade and can win again. Silo just held on for second after a one-out, one-back run. He's a winner waiting to happen after seconds once across each track from his past three starts. Aestheticism came with a bold move to make it close on the wire travelling third last after getting hampered at the start. He's close to a win. M Unicorn ran on nicely for fourth without threatening the top three after making his run five back and one off the fence. He's naturally returning to form in his three starts this term. Samarkand found a few too smart after moving to the lead 350m out following a speed-tracking run outside Lovero from gate 12. It was another pleasing effort following a near win last Wednesday. Favourite Super Unicorn came up one-paced over the last 100m after getting every chance following a rail run from better than midfield. Daring Pursuit never landed a blow after settling one off the rail in midfield.
