Recap by phillip woo

Sergeant Pepper got up by a lip after settling one off the rail in midfield to ring up a second win in Class Four over the Valley 1,000m from six starts this term. Lean Master lost by a head bob after putting his nose in front near the wire following a prominent run on the fence. He's racing well and a win is around the corner. Favourite Parents' Love kept on gamely for third after easily finding the front from gate nine. It was another solid effort up in grade off a lighter weight following a win. Super Sixty ran on nicely for fourth after making his run three from the rear. He will be a force to reckoned with if he can find his way into Class Five. Silver Spurs ran on steadily for fifth after settling on the rail behind midfield. He's shown flashes of ability in his five starts but is still a work in progress. Circus Reel ran on without threatening after settling in second last from gate 10. Sight Happy ran on to finish next best after making his run from the rear following a sluggish start. Punted late, Champion Method only plodded after having to check off heels just under the 200m following a run on the rail in midfield.
