Racing Incident Report
Race Six : (181) - LEI YUE MUN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 SERGEANT PEPPER (E432) E C W Wong When giving ground near the 100 Metres was eased when crowded between TEAM HAPPY and THE PERFECT MATCH, both of which shifted ground.
Horse No 2 KOKUSHI MUSOU (G006) M Chadwick Steadied leaving the 100 Metres.
Horse No 3 CALIFORNIA DEEPLY (G451) B Avdulla Leaving the 100 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by KOKUSHI MUSOU which was steadied when taken in by TOP TIME (K De Melo).
K De Melo was severely reprimanded and advised that he must stop riding and straighten his mounts when they shift ground whilst not clear.
Horse No 4 THE PERFECT MATCH (J253) H Bowman Bumped after travelling a short distance.
Steadied near the 50 Metres.
Raced wide and without cover from the 550 Metres.
After the event, H Bowman reported that his mount raced too keenly in the early and middle stages and as a consequence did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 TEAM HAPPY (J218) A Atzeni Bumped near the 150 Metres.
Horse No 6 ACE POWER (J181) L Ferraris Jumped awkwardly.
After the event, L Ferraris reported that his mount hung out in the middle stages around the turns and as a result during that section of the race ran wide.
Horse No 7 CIRCUIT DUFFY (J501) Z Purton Bumped heavily at the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 COSMIC SPURS (J380) B Thompson Raced greenly during the event and lay in making the Home Turn and in the Home Straight.
After the event, B Thompson reported that his intention was to hold a forward position from the outside barrier, but his mount bounded on jumping and lost ground and as a result settled further back.
Horse No 9 LAKESHORE HERO (J288) M F Poon Bumped heavily at the start.
Had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 300 Metres.
After the event, M F Poon reported that his mount raced too keenly in the early and middle stages and as a consequence did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 TOP TIME (K006) K De Melo On jumping was steadied when crowded between CALIFORNIA DEEPLY and YOUNG HORIZON which jumped awkwardly and shifted out.
Shifted in between the 200 Metres and the 50 Metres when being ridden out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 YOUNG HORIZON (G272) M L Yeung Jumped awkwardly and shifted out.
In the early stages raced ungenerously when being shifted across behind runners.
Held up for clear running making the Home Turn.
Near the 150 Metres improved into a tight run between CIRCUIT DUFFY and TEAM HAPPY and as a result made contact with TEAM HAPPY.
Over the concluding stages raced in restricted room between CIRCUIT DUFFY and TOP TIME which shifted in.
Horse No 12 SUPREME WINNER (J255) Y L Chung After travelling a short distance shifted in and made contact with THE PERFECT MATCH.

Following the Hong Kong Observatory's announcement of issuing Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.
8 at 11:10 pm, The Hong Kong Jockey Club determined that the running of the remaining Races 7, 8 and 9 at tonight's Happy Valley race meeting be abandoned.

Street Conqueror travelled worse than midfield on the rails and moved to the lead near the 100m to score a second win over this course and distance from 14 starts. Masterofmyuniverse ran on very well to finish a head second settling towards the rear along the inside following a slow start. It was an eye-catching debut performance and he will be winning a race in no time. Bowser stayed on a close third after a rails run from better than midfield. It was another good effort after producing two pleasing runs on the dirt to start the season. Punted late Sunny Darling faded late to finish a distant fourth after claiming the lead near the 400m following a pace-prompting run underneath Rewarding Twinkle. It was his best showing on the turf following a last start win on the dirt. Shinkansen made only a mild bid after a one-off trip from midfield. It was another honest effort. Favourite Roaring Bebe ran on without threatening travelling one from the rear. He couldn't build on a near win first up this season. Happy Soul was next best after getting posted very wide without cover from behind midfield.
