Recap by phillip woo
Kingly Demeanor dictated the run from gate three, leading by four lengths at one point, and just scrambled in to make it back-to-back wins following an 1,800m success 10 days ago at Sha Tin. He will find things harder in Class Four next time out. Fury And Gold ran on nicely with one wider out to finish a close second settling one from the rear following a slow start. It was his best run to date with a step up in distance after finding the line better in his past two starts over 1,800m. Palace Pal ran on steadily to finish a close third after a one-off trip from midfield. It was his best effort from five starts over 2,200m following a downgrade. Golden Fairy was paddling late for fourth after a speed-tracking run. It was another honest effort. Early favourite Chateau Le Peche just plodded after being asked for more 600m out following a one-out, one-back run. He is more effective at Sha Tin. Super Hong Kong only whacked on one-paced after a rails run from midfield. It was another disappointing effort despite striking a favourite Valley 2,200m. Specked late Splendid Star was a non-factor after spotting them about four lengths at the start.
