Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (180) - LEI YUE MUN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 BOWSER (H460) K C Leung Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
Horse No 3 HAPPY SOUL (G249) C L Chau Bumped at the start.
Horse No 4 DECRELOT (J551) H Bentley In the early stages raced keenly and got its head up and when being steadied to allow BOWSER to cross, over-reacted and continued to race keenly thereafter.
Horse No 5 MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE (J325) Z Purton Jumped only fairly and then shortly after was checked when crowded between SHINKANSEN and ROARING BEBE which shifted in abruptly before being corrected by its rider.
Approaching the 250 Metres was disappointed for clear running between STREET CONQUEROR and BOWSER which shifted in.
As a result, MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE was steadied and shifted to the outside of BOWSER to obtain clear running near the 200 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 REWARDING TWINKLE (J368) M F Poon Jumped only fairly.
After the event, M F Poon stated that his mount hung out making the Home Turn and as a result travelled wider.
Horse No 7 STREET CONQUEROR (H341) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 KA YING POWER (H169) A Hamelin When questioned, A Hamelin stated that in the middle stages his mount was racing ungenerously.
He said when positioned between DECRELOT and HAPPY SOUL, he elected to allow HAPPY SOUL to cross his mount so that he could encourage it to travel more comfortably which it did once being crossed by that runner.
Horse No 9 ROARING BEBE (H105) B Avdulla Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
After the event, B Avdulla reported that his saddle shifted forward approaching the first turn, placing him at some disadvantage.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 TOGEPI (G458) M L Yeung After the event, M L Yeung reported that whilst he was asked to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages, when it commenced well, he elected to capitalise on the good start and as a result rode his mount forward in the early stages.
Trainer W K Mo confirmed the instructions.
Horse No 11 SHINKANSEN (H277) M Chadwick Bumped at the start.
Horse No 12 SMART LEADER (B456) K De Melo Bumped at the start.

Street Conqueror travelled worse than midfield on the rails and moved to the lead near the 100m to score a second win over this course and distance from 14 starts. Masterofmyuniverse ran on very well to finish a head second settling towards the rear along the inside following a slow start. It was an eye-catching debut performance and he will be winning a race in no time. Bowser stayed on a close third after a rails run from better than midfield. It was another good effort after producing two pleasing runs on the dirt to start the season. Punted late Sunny Darling faded late to finish a distant fourth after claiming the lead near the 400m following a pace-prompting run underneath Rewarding Twinkle. It was his best showing on the turf following a last start win on the dirt. Shinkansen made only a mild bid after a one-off trip from midfield. It was another honest effort. Favourite Roaring Bebe ran on without threatening travelling one from the rear. He couldn't build on a near win first up this season. Happy Soul was next best after getting posted very wide without cover from behind midfield.
