Racing Incident Report
Race One : (147) - L'OREAL PARIS HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 CASA LEGEND (G126) M F Poon After the event, M F Poon stated that, in his opinion, the horse may not have run out the 1800 Metres of today's event.
Trainer C W Chang confirmed that he had been pleased with the work of CASA LEGEND leading into today's event and agreed with Jockey Poon that CASA LEGEND did not run out the 1800 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of CASA LEGEND was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, CASA LEGEND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 PAKISTAN FRIEND (B370) Z Purton Bumped after the 500 Metres.
After the event, Z Purton could offer no excuse for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) C L Chau Approaching the winning post lay in and was steadied away from the heels of KINGLY DEMEANOR.

Horse No 5 INVINCIBLE MISSILE (C037) E C W Wong A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 MISTER FOX (J059) A Badel Made contact with the left side of its barrier on jumping.
Passing the 400 Metres A Badel dropped his whip.
Horse No 7 TURTLE AGAIN (H083) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
Approaching the 800 Metres was briefly crowded to the inside of PAKISTAN FRIEND.
After the 500 Metres was bumped by PAKISTAN FRIEND which shifted out and away from E TALENT.
Horse No 8 HARRY'S HERO (H332) M Chadwick After the event, M Chadwick advised that he was instructed to take up a forward position.
Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued.
Horse No 9 KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486) M L Yeung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 SUNNY BABY (E166) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 11 SPLENDID STAR (G026) L Hewitson Slow to begin.
Horse No 12 E TALENT (H310) C Y Ho On jumping was crowded between HARRY'S HERO and CASA LEGEND which shifted out.

Well-backed Kingly Demeanor led and never looked back from gate three to notch a first win at his 12th start. It was clearly his best performance after showing little in his opening three runs this term. Chateau Le Peche stayed on a clear-cut second after sitting fifth and one off the fence with cover. He's given a good sight in back-to-back runs with a step back up to 1,800m. Turtle Again ran on well for third after making his run five back and one off the fence. It was an improved effort second up this term on the back of a trial win. Punted late Harry's Hero kept on OK after a pace-stalking run from the widest draw. It was one of his better efforts from 19 local runs. Fury And Gold ran on without threatening after a wide with cover trip settling two from the rear. Mister Fox had no excuse after a box-seat run. Splendid Star made some ground late after badly missing the kick. Favourite Pakistan Friend found nothing when popped the question after a one-off trip with cover from midfield. It was a disappointing effort by the 10-year-old.
