Race Seven : (153) - THE SA SA LADIES' PURSE (HANDICAP) - Class G3 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 BEAUTY JOY (E058) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 3 MASSIVE SOVEREIGN (J208) Z Purton When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, Z Purton stated that his mount was disadvantaged by the early stages of the event being run slightly outside of standard time, but due to the pace increasing from the 1000 Metres MAJESTIC SOVEREIGN took some time to respond to his riding from the 600 Metres.
He added in the Home Straight MASSIVE SOVEREIGN finished the race off fairly and its run might have peaked close to the 100 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 CHANCHENG GLORY (H212) C Y Ho Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
When questioned, C Y Ho stated that after obtaining a position behind FLAMING RABBIT in the early stages, when FLAMING RABBIT was then steadied to obtain a position on the rail, CHANCHENG GLORY commenced to race keenly, struck the heels of FLAMING RABBIT and blundered.
Horse No 5 ENCOUNTERED (G236) L Ferraris Crowded shortly after the start between ALL FOR ST PAUL'S and CHANCHENG GLORY which shifted out.
Horse No 6 FIVE G PATCH (G286) B Avdulla From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
When finishing the race off well could not be ridden out to the winning post when improving close to CHANCHENG GLORY.
Horse No 8 LA CITY BLANCHE (G371) M Chadwick After the 400 Metres attempted a narrow run between SWORD POINT and MOMENTS IN TIME.
When MOMENTS IN TIME shifted out, LA CITY BLANCHE was then disappointed for clear running before being shifted to the inside of MOMENTS IN TIME near the 300 Metres to obtain a clear run.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 MOMENTS IN TIME (H474) L Hewitson When caught wide in the early stages was allowed to stride forward near the 1100 Metres when it was able to take up a position outside the lead.
Horse No 10 SENOR TOBA (G103) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 13 KARMA (G392) A Badel From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Raced keenly in the early stages.
Lay out on the Home Turn and in the Home Straight.
Horse No 14 ENSUED (H452) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.

Lowest-rated Ensued was better than midfield with cover and kept on gamely after working to the lead 200m out for a fourth win from nine starts. La City Blanche stayed on nicely for second after turning the final bend fourth along the fence. It was a muchimproved effort second up this term with a step up to a more suitable 1,800m. Changcheng Prince ran on well for third without threatening the top two after a wide with cover trip from midfield. He's as honest as the day is long. Punted late Sword Point kept on well for fourth after a pace-stalking run from gate 10. It was a pleasing effort following an easy win last start on the dirt. Favourite Massive Sovereign peaked on his run 100m out after making his run five back and one off the fence. He should come on from this run. Nimble Nimbus ran on steadily without threatening after a rails run from midfield. Beauty Joy made headway late from towards the rear. He wasn't suited by the muddling pace.
