Race Four : (150) - CANMAKE TOKYO HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 SUGAR BALL (H394) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 METRO WARRIOR (D387) E C W Wong Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 5 FLYING DOUBLE (J388) Z Purton When questioned, Z Purton stated that FLYING DOUBLE anticipated the start and as a consequence bounded on jumping and became unbalanced.
When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight, Z Purton stated that his initial intention was to follow VANTASTIC CHOICE into the event, however, when VANTASTIC CHOICE did not improve, he then elected to shift back to the inside of that runner to continue to follow COMMANDING MISSILE near the 300 Metres.
He said after shifting to the inside of COMMANDING MISSILE near the 250 Metres he was then able to place his mount under full pressure, but when improving between COMMANDING MISSILE and TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR, his mount reacted adversely when it was accidentally struck by the whip of C Y Ho, the rider of TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR.
He added after this his mount responded well to his riding but over the concluding stages shied at the winning post and proved difficult to ride out to the finish of the event.
Horse No 7 NOT USUAL DRAGON (J438) B Thompson Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 8 TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR (H430) C Y Ho A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 CIRCUIT FIERY (H475) Y L Chung Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 11 ALWAYS FLUKE (H252) H Bentley After the event, H Bentley reported that his mount hung in when placed under pressured in the Home Straight and responded only fairly to his riding.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Pre-market favourite Sugar Ball was ridden patiently and peeled into the open 350m, just getting up to deny post-time elect Lifeline Express in the final stride. Lifeline Express found one just too good after dashing well near the inside to lead 50m out settling one from the rear. It was a solid effort. Cheerful World found a couple just too good after surging to the lead 100m out following a one-off trip from midfield. He's close to a win after catching the eye in both starts this term. Flying Double stayed on well for fourth after getting held up for a run from the 300m to 150m following a rail run from just worse than midfield. It was a smart debut effort. Circuit Fiery ran on well with one wider out after turning the final bend with two behind him. Triumphant Warrior was on his tippy toes 100m out after prompting the pace with Commanding Missile to his outside. Vantastic Choice didn't find much when asked for an effort after settling third with cover. Metro Warrior had an excuse after getting posted wide without cover.
