Race One : (75) - TUNG LUNG CHAU HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 JOYFUL PROSPERITY (H213) H Bowman Slow into stride.
Bumped with CHATEAU LE PECHE near the 300 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 FURY AND GOLD (H202) A Atzeni Slow to begin and then was inconvenienced by FRUITY WARRIOR which shifted out on jumping.
When over-racing in the early stages was obliged to race three wide and without cover for the majority of the race.
Horse No 3 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) C L Chau Approaching the 300 Metres was inconvenienced when bumped by JOYFUL PROSPERITY which shifted out to obtain clear running.
Horse No 4 FRUITY WARRIOR (J035) B Avdulla Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of B Avdulla, 2nd placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse's finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race.

Horse No 8 KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486) Y L Chung After the race, Y L Chung could offer no excuse for the disappointing performance of the horse as it failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 SPLENDID STAR (G026) M L Yeung Slow to begin.
Shifted out slightly after the 200 Metres to avoid CHATEAU LE PECHE which was shifting ground inwards under pressure.
Horse No 10 JOYFUL CHAMPION (G072) K Teetan After the race, K Teetan could offer no excuse for the disappointing performance of the horse as it failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Favourite Joyful Prosperity worked his way into the clear with two wider out at the 300m from behind midfield and showed a good turn of foot to win going away 130m out. His first ever win was long overdue after placing in eight of 19 other starts. Fruity Warrior found one too good after assuming the lead from Colourful Baron 150m out following a pace-stalking run from gate seven. He's a winner waiting to happen with seconds in both outings. Punted late Chateau Le Peche just collared Colourful Baron for third after making his run outside the eventual winner from gate five. It was an improved effort with a step up in distance at his second run down in grade. Colourful Baron knocked up late after setting the pace from gate four. It was another honest effort. Golden Fairy stayed on all right after settling fourth and one off the fence. It was a better effort on the back of two ordinary outings at the Valley last month. Splendid Star came from last to finish next best. Leather Master faltered after a box-seat run. He is limited.
