Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Young Horizon rallied very well with one wider out to take control near the 100m following a one-off trip from behind midfield for a third win over 1,400m from 33 starts. Well-backed Yoda's Choice stayed on nicely for second despite having to steady at times in tight quarters after chasing the leader on the fence. It was a solid effort following a downgrade. Punted late Super Elite came from last to fill a placing. It was a good run with a step up to 1,400m after starting the campaign with a third from two 1,200m runs. Verbier succumbed late for fourth after moving to the lead near the 300m following a speed-chasing run one off the fence. He proved an improved effort for fourth last start was not a fluke. Cervin kept on OK after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He has shown progress. Lady Billie made some ground without ever looking a threat after a rail run from behind midfield. It was her best run to date. Island Golden was stopping just under the 300m after clearing to lead from gate 10. It was a disappointing effort.
