Horse No 1 BEAUTY WAVES (H294) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 CELESTIAL COLOURS (H362) H Bowman On jumping was crowded by YOUTHFUL SPIRIT which shifted in.
Horse No 3 SUGAR SUGAR (G016) K H Chan Jumped only fairly and despite being ridden along in the early stages did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
Horse No 4 SPORTS LEGEND (H456) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.
Horse No 5 BRAVE STAR (G268) C Y Ho After the race, C Y Ho reported that his mount is better suited on a firmer surface.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 HEROIC MASTER (G394) K Teetan From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 7 ATOMIC FORCE (G221) H Bentley Jumped awkwardly and was bumped shortly after.
Horse No 10 YOUTHFUL SPIRITS (J082) A Badel Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and bumped with CELESTIAL COLOURS.
Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 11 MIDORI GLORY (J248) M F Poon At declaration time, H Bentley was declared as the rider of both ATOMIC FORCE and MIDORI GLORY.
It was established that H Bentley had a firm commitment to ride ATOMIC FORCE.
As such, the Stewards permitted M F Poon to be substituted as the rider of MIDORI GLORY.
For this declaration error, Trainer P F Yiu was fined $2,000.

First-time local starter Midori Glory got up in the closing stages for the win after a box-seat run. He was able to build on wins in two of three Australian starts and does appear to have a bright future. Favourite Beauty Waves found one just too good after moving to the lead 150m out. It was another solid effort carrying top weight. Fast Serve kept on well for third after dictating the run from gate three. It was a solid run off a 315-days on the sideline after winning both starts last year. Atomic Force ran on steadily to just get the head down for fourth after settling on the rail. It was a positive effort following a stable transfer. Sports Legend just missed the frame after a prominent run wide without cover from gate 11. He had a clear excuse. Super Sugar made headway late near the inside after making his run towards the rear. It will pay to follow up on him over a more suitable 1,200m. Youthful Spirits stayed on OK after getting caught very wide without cover from midfield the entire trip. Heroic Master ran on without threatening from the rear of the field.
