Race Four : (678) - THE RACING CLUB 1200M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 LUCY IN THE SKY (J275) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 YOU'REMYEVERYTHING (E413) H Bowman Crowded at the start.
Near the 950 Metres was crowded by DRAGON FOUR SEAS which was taken in by SPEEDY FORTUNE (A Badel) which shifted in when not quite clear.
A Badel was reprimanded.
After the race, H Bowman reported that his mount was disadvantaged by being crowded near the 950 Metres and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.
He added that, in his opinion, YOU'REMYEVERYTHING would benefit from being stepped up in distance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.
Horse No 3 DRAGON FOUR SEAS (J317) C L Chau Jumped awkwardly.
Near the 950 Metres was steadied.
Horse No 4 FUN N FUN TOGETHER (J232) C Y Ho Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping.
After the 1100 Metres commenced to race greenly after being crossed by GLORY ELITE.
After the race, C Y Ho reported that his mount raced greenly throughout the event.
Horse No 5 HAROLD WIN (J280) A Atzeni Crowded at the start.
Horse No 6 MR ENERGIA (J239) H Bentley Jumped awkwardly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 450 Metres was steadied away from SOLID WIN when that runner shifted out to improve.
Horse No 7 SOLID WIN (J225) A Hamelin Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 8 GLORY ELITE (H311) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 GREAT SPIRIT (J155) L Hewitson Lay out on the first turn when being steadied away from FUN N FUN TOGETHER.
Continued to lay out in the middle stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 SUPER BONUS (H259) B Thompson Near the 50 Metres B Thompson dropped his right rein.

Glory Elite led and kept finding after turning the final bend two lengths on top to turn the tables on Lucy In The Sky for a first win at his sixth start. There's clearly more to come from the three-year-old. Lucy In The Sky stayed on a non-threatening second after a box seat run. He couldn't back up a last start win carrying seven pounds more at the top of the weights. Specked late Super Bonus plugged on late to just hold newcomer Harold Win for third without threatening the top two. He relished a step back to the 1,200m trip of a fourth in March. Harold Win just failed to get up for third after a prominent run. It was a positive debut effort. Solid Win made up good ground late down the outside after a patient ride third last from a middle draw. It was an encouraging debut effort by the three-year-old. Fun N Fun Together just held his ground after a wide without cover trip from midfield. He went okay but does appear to need more time and experience. Firsttime starter Dragon Four Seas produced only a grinding effort after a rails run from behind midfield. Speedy Fortune just plodded after a rails run from midfield.
