Favourite Patch Of Theta just held off the late surge of Sunlight Power after surging to the lead 200m out following a one off trip from better than midfield for a third win. Wellbacked Sunlight Power was unlucky not to have gotten up for the win after failing to gain a clear run until the final 50m following a patient ride four from the rear. Lost Child stayed on well for third after a rails run from behind midfield. He was able to back up a close third last time out. Chiu Chow Spirit stayed on well for fourth after a rails run from midfield. It was a good run carrying top weight. Punted late Sky Heart found a few too good on this occasion after moving to the lead 350m out following a pace-stalking run. He couldn't cope carrying six pounds more following a win. Hyper Dragon Ball came from a tailed off spot near the inside to finish next best. Amazing Duck faded after slotting one-out, one-back from gate 12. He just isn't good enough off his current mark. Loyal Bo Bo faded after dictating the run from gate two. He's found things too rich in his past two starts following a rise in class.

Race Ten : (684) - BEIJING CLUBHOUSE 1400M HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 CHIU CHOW SPIRIT (H175) A Badel Shifted out at the start and was bumped.

Bumped near the 100 Metres.

Horse No 2 KEMPES (J265) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start was bumped by CHIU CHOW SPIRIT which shifted out.

Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.

Horse No 3 YOUNG ACHIEVER (J291) Z Purton After the race, Z Purton reported that his mount would appreciate being stepped up in distance for its next race start.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 PATCH OF THETA (H485) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 EIGHTEEN PALMS (H033) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and bumped BEAUTY THUNDER.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 6 HYPER DRAGON BALL (G450) C L Chau After the race, C L Chau reported that his mount was slow to begin and in the early stages did not fully stretch out despite him riding it along.

Horse No 7 SKY HEART (J092) M L Yeung Shifted out at the start and was bumped.

Horse No 8 LOYAL BO BO (J011) K C Leung After the race, K C Leung reported that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead by SKY HEART and with the race being run inside of standard time in the early stages was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

The performance of LOYAL BO BO was considered to be disappointing as compared to its precious race starts.

Before being allowed to race again, LOYAL BO BO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 10 BEAUTY GLORY (E459) B Avdulla A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 BEAUTY THUNDER (J299) M Chadwick Bumped at the start.

Horse No 12 STELLAR SWIFT (J139) A Atzeni After the race, A Atzeni reported that his mount commenced only fairly and failed to show sufficient pace in the early stages to hold a more forward position.

Horse No 13 SUNLIGHT POWER (H244) H Bentley Became unbalanced on jumping when bumped by SKY HEART which shifted out.

Held up for clear running from the 400 Metres when it hung in and proved reluctant to shift to the outside of PATCH OF THETA and as a result did not obtain clear running until near the 100 Metres.

When improving into a narrow run between CHIU CHOW SPIRIT and PATCH OF THETA near the 100 Metres shifted out and made contact with CHIU CHOW SPIRIT.

After the race, H Bentley reported that his mount raced keenly in the early stages and hung in throughout the event.

Sent for sampling post-race.
