Horse No 1 CALIFORNIA BANNER (J132) L Ferraris For a short distance near the 50 Metres raced tight to the outside of CONCORDE STAR which shifted out slightly.
Horse No 2 CALIFORNIA MOXIE (J131) B Avdulla Shortly after the start was bumped by RUN YES RUN which shifted out.
Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.
Horse No 3 LORD OF THE ROSE (J297) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by SANTORINI which shifted in abruptly.
Horse No 4 MEANINGFUL DRAGON (H453) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly.
Lay out under pressure over the final 400 Metres.
Noted to have lost its right hind plate after the race.
Horse No 5 SANTORINI (J076) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly and shifted in abruptly before being corrected by its rider.

La Forza responded to get up in deep stretch after rushing forward to settle third in the middle of the track 700m out to ring up a maiden win at his second start. Run Yes Run reclaimed the lead 500m out after showing early gate speed but found one too smart on the day. Santorini ran on steadily from midfield near the far side to fill a placing. He has given a decent sight in both Griffin starts. Punted late Meaningful Dragon ran on reasonably well for fourth after a midfield run on the far side. It was a positive debut performance and he's bred to want a further trip in time. California Moxie just plodded after chasing the speed on the grandstand side. He is still a work in progress. It was a long way back to California Banner, who made some ground from behind midfield. It was a better effort at his second start. Concorde Star weakened after rushing forward to briefly lead near the 700m from gate one.
