Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (615) - BUSAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 GOLDEN LONG (H462) K C Leung Shortly after the start made contact with the hindquarters of HIGH PERCENTAGE when taken out slightly by LUCKY QUALITY, resulting in GOLDEN LONG having to be steadied.
Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race.
Before being allowed to race again, GOLDEN LONG will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 RIGHTEOUS ARION (H059) H Bowman Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 HIGH PERCENTAGE (G413) Z Purton Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 THE PERFECT MATCH (J253) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start by HERCULES which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
Approaching the 100 Metres was shifted to the outside of GOLDEN LONG and COLONEL to continue into clear running and over the concluding stages raced tight between COLONEL and COSMO NAVIGATOR.
Horse No 6 MR VALIANT (G288) B Avdulla From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 400 Metres was steadied when held up for clear running behind THE PERFECT MATCH.
Had some difficulty obtaining clear running over the final 150 Metres and approaching the finish could not be ridden out when it improved close to GOLDEN LONG.
Horse No 8 HERCULES (C476) Y L Chung Shortly after the start shifted in and got its head up when being corrected by its rider.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 LUCKY QUALITY (D050) A Atzeni After the race, A Atzeni stated that the only explanation he could offer for his mount's disappointing performance was that it would appreciate a firmer surface.

Horse No 12 HAPPY FEELING (H443) B Thompson Withdrawn on raceday afternoon by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore).
Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY FELLING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

After travelling effectively one out, one back, firming favourite High Percentage took control near the 100m to post back-to-back wins. He's really come into his own and can win again. So Awesome stayed on nicely to share second after a one-off trip from midfield. He proved a placing last start was not a fluke. Righteous Arion ran on strongly to dead-heat for second after a wide trip without cover towards the rear. He will be saluting if he can remain in the grade. Golden Long ran on steadily from behind midfield to fill the frame. It was another honest effort. Colonel gradually faded after dictating the run from gate one. He just finds things too tough in this grade. Cosmo Navigator finished next best after a speed-tracking run from gate nine. He's still learning the ropes. The Perfect Match ran on without threatening after travelling one from the rear. He's gone all right once at each track to start his career but will need more time and education. Lucky Quality was gone 150m out after a prominent run on the fence. He needs a fast strip.
