After moving to the lead 400m out following a speed-tracking run, Flamingo Trillion kept up a strong gallop for a third career win and first at his 10th start this term. He was able to build on a pleasing third trying the Valley 1,800m in February. Berlin Tango came from last and widest out to finish a close second. He had been hitting the line much better in his past four starts and can bob up at any moment. Favourite Noble Pursuit stayed on for a close third after a rail run from midfield. He wasn't beaten far in the end but may be better suited on top of the ground. Gallant Waking ran on reasonably well near the outside to fill the frame after biding his time three from the rear. It was another honest effort carrying top weight trying 1,800m for the first time. Kimberley kept on all right after a prominent run one off the fence from gate 12. He's gone all right in two of three starts at this level following a win in Class Four. Smiling Time made some ground late along the inside after having to wait until the 200m for a clear run travelling behind midfield on the fence. Intrepid Winner beat a few from towards the rear.

Race Nine : (616) - SEOUL HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1800Meters

Horse No 1 GALLANT WAKING (G165) C Y Ho In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1500 Metres was steadied away from DEVILDOM.

Horse No 2 BERLIN TANGO (E120) B Avdulla Bumped on jumping.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 NOBLE PURSUIT (H324) A Atzeni When questioned regarding his riding near the 500 Metres, A Atzeni stated that his mount travelled only fairly throughout the event.

He said near the 500 Metres he commenced to encourage his mount forward whereby NOBLE PURSUIT responded to his riding and then became awkwardly placed behind EIGHTEEN PALMS which resulted in him having to steady his mount.

He said as a result NOBLE PURSUIT lost momentum at that stage before shifting to the inside of EIGHTEEN PALMS and then TRUE GENIUS on straightening where it secured clear running.

Horse No 4 EIGHTEEN PALMS (H033) A Badel After the race, A Badel stated that, in his opinion, EIGHTEEN PALMS did not run out a strong 1800 Metres.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 6 DEVILDOM (H445) L Hewitson A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 7 INTREPID WINNER (G144) K De Melo Bumped at the start and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 8 AFFORDABLE (J242) B Thompson Shifted out on jumping, made contact with INTREPID WINNER and became unbalanced.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 9 FLAMINGO TRILLION (H192) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 10 KIMBERLEY (H329) A Hamelin Bumped on jumping.

Horse No 11 TRADITION (J111) M F Poon Jumped only fairly.

Held up for clear running on the Home Turn.

Horse No 12 SMILING TIME (E235) M L Yeung Jumped awkwardly and then was bumped shortly after the start.

After the 500 Metres was held up for clear running behind NOBLE PURSUIT and near the 400 Metres was steadied when NOBLE PURSUIT shifted in slightly.

Then raced tight to the inside of NOBLE PURSUIT for some distance after the 300 Metres.
