Recap by phillip woo

After getting all favours in the box seat, Capital Legend just got up in the closing stages to deny the late-fancied outsider Foremost Teddy for a second win at his 19th start and first from 11 outings this term. After stalking the pace, Foremost Teddy assumed the lead 250m out and found one just too good. It was clearly his best run from five starts. Gallant Valour ran on steadily for third after settling on the rail in midfield. He has done well to place third in four of his past five starts following a win. Master Tornado found a few too good after dictating a slow pace from gate four. He had his chance but wasn't smart enough. Post-time favourite Joyful Prosperity made some ground to finish next best without threatening the top four travelling on the rail in midfield. He required a stronger pace. I Can just plodded after after settling one out and one back. He is still seeking out a bottom. Harry's Hero weakened to finish next best after rushing forward three wide from gate 12 to sit fourth coming to the final bend. D Star only plodded after travelling behind midfield on the fence. He couldn't build on a closing third last start.
