Horse No 3 MOMENTS IN TIME (H474) Z Purton From near the 1200 Metres commenced to race keenly and refused to settle in the middle stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 KEEFY (G306) K C Leung Bumped near the 300 Metres.
Horse No 5 GALAXY WITNESS (G110) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
Near the 300 Metres was shifted to that outside of MOMENTS IN TIME to secure clear running and in doing so bumped with KEEFY.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 RISING FROM ASHES (G209) K Teetan On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to RISING FROM ASHES was replaced.
Horse No 8 OUTGATE (H113) Y L Chung Sent for sampling post-race.

Early favourite Moments In Time just got the better of Outgate for the win after slotting one off the rail and one back from gate five. It was his a second straight win over the course following a 1,800m success in an easier grade. He's really taking a liking to the Valley and can win again. After tracking the speed, favourite Outgate did everything right but could not get the win after briefly poking his head in front 50m out. It was another good run up in grade off a light weight following a last-start win over 1,400m. Mr Ascendency managed third without threatening the top two after settling in the box seat. The big weight cost him after back-to-back wins. Telecom Fighters gradually faded after dictating the pace from gate one. It was another honest effort. Galaxy Witness only plodded after settling on the rail in midfield. He didn't get the pace to suit. Rising From Ashes only got by a couple of struggling rivals from the rear of the field. Keefy was a non-factor. He continues to disappoint this campaign. Find My Love never landed a blow after settling second last from a tricky gate. He's not going well.
