Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (258) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY HEIRLOOM FORTUNE COLLECTION HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 HOLY LAKE (H260) C Y Ho Near the 400 Metres shifted out and away from SUPER WISE DRAGON, made contact with LUCKY ETERNITY and became unbalanced.
After the race, C Y Ho stated that his mount, which was stepping up to 1600 Metres today, raced greenly, particularly under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 AESTHETICISM (H289) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 MASTER HERO (D501) L Hewitson Shifted out approaching the 100 Metres and bumped SUPER WISE DRAGON.
Horse No 5 LUCKY ETERNITY (G478) C L Chau Near the 400 Metres was bumped and became unbalanced.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 8 CLUB SODA (H312) A Badel Near the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from HOLY LAKE.
Horse No 9 E TALENT (H310) M L Yeung Slow to begin.
Horse No 10 FOREVER FOLKS (G463) A Hamelin Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 11 NORTHERN BEAST (H233) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
Near the 400 Metres was directed to the inside of AESTHETICISM to obtain clear running.
Horse No 12 SUPER WISE DRAGON (G475) J McDonald Approaching the 100 Metres was bumped by MASTER HERO which shifted out.
When questioned, J McDonald stated that from the inside barrier he was instructed to settle where comfortable but not to ride his mount along in the early stages as SUPER WISE DRAGON has been subject to a wind operation.
He said as a result after beginning only fairly and with the strong early pace, he was able to hold a midfield position throughout the early and middle stages.
When questioned regarding his riding on the Home Turn and the reason he shifted out to follow MASTER HERO rather than improving to the inside, J McDonald stated that due to the pace of the event being run inside of standard, he had expected the leaders to give ground and as a result he elected to shift out and follow MASTER HERO into the Home Straight as he felt MASTER HERO would provide him with a good trail into the race.
Trainer W Y So confirmed the instructions issued.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 LITTLE FAIRY (H206) K Teetan Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Approaching the 100 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded between AESTHETICISM and SUPER WISE DRAGON, both of which shifted ground.
Horse No 14 SUPERB MOVE (G304) A Atzeni After the race, A Atzeni reported that from the outside barrier he was asked to take up a forward position on his mount.
Trainer C H Yip confirmed the instructions issued.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Favourite Aestheticism came with a bold move despite laying in under pressure to take control 50m out after a patient ride five back and one off the fence for consecutive wins under Zac Purton. Punted late Super Wise Dragon ran on nicely for second after a rails run from behind midfield. It was a career-best effort following a riding change to James McDonald. Master Hero was given every chance but found a couple just too good after surging to the lead following a rails run from midfield. He's racing well without winning this season. Plunged late Little Fairy stayed on well for fourth after getting slightly hampered by the winner 100m out following a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was his best effort after showing hints of ability in two earlier runs this term. Northern Beast got going late to finish next best after biding his time one from the rear. It was a typical run on without threatening performance. Forever Folks ran on without menacing from the rear of the field. It was an improved effort on his opening three starts this term.
