Race Six : (256) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY DEAR Q HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 2 JUMBO FORTUNE (G195) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 FAST VICTORY (H393) E C W Wong Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of FAST VICTORY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, FAST VICTORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 4 WAR OF COURAGE (C483) B Avdulla As the start was effected became fractious and as a consequence was slow to begin.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 LUCKY GOLD (G112) C Y Ho Near the 800 Metres was steadied away from CELTIC TIMES.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 ENDEARED (H161) Z Purton Steadied and shifted in at the 900 Metres.
Near the 600 Metres when racing keenly was steadied away from OWNERS' PRAISE.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 PRIME MORTAR (G328) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 9 CELTIC TIMES (G230) M Chadwick For some distance near the 900 Metres was crowded when racing tight to the inside of FAST VICTORY (Apprentice E C W Wong) which shifted in.
Apprentice Wong was severely reprimanded and advised that he must ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room for runners to his inside.
When giving ground near the 150 Metres was momentarily crowded by OWNERS' PRAISE which was taken in slightly by ENDEARED.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 ENNEA FORTUNE (E443) A Badel Shortly after the start was crowded and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 900 Metres became unbalanced when being steadied away from ENDEARED when that runner shifted in and away from LUCKY GOLD.
A short distance later was then steadied when momentarily crowded by ENDEARED.
Horse No 11 HIGH PERCENTAGE (G413) C L Chau After the race, C L Chau reported that with blinkers on for the first time, he was asked to hold a forward position with cover, but after jumping well HIGH PERCENTAGE raced in the lead without being pressured to do so.
Horse No 12 SPEEDY CHARIOT (H193) L Ferraris After the race, L Ferraris stated that with his mount stepping up from the 1200 Metres to the 1400 Metres, it was able to show more pace than it has at its previous race starts and settled in a more forward position.
He added he was not comfortable with his mount's action during the running of the event, particularly when it gave ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Before being allowed to race again, SPEEDY CHARIOT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 14 MACH TEN (G382) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Lay in when placed under pressure in the early part of the Home Straight and near the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running between WAR OF COURAGE and AORAKI SUMMIT which shifted out.
As a result, did not obtain clear running until near the 150 Metres.

Post-time favourite Jumbo Fortune pinched a break after hitting the front 200m out to deny the late bid of Endeared after a rail run from midfield for a first local win at his 26th start. He was able to go one better off an eye-catching effort down in Class Four last Sunday. Endeared ran on nicely with three wider out after turning the final bend two from the rear. He's run well from outside draws in two of three starts this term. Specked late Mach Ten weaved a run to secure a placing ridden for luck out back from gate 12. It was a solid effort off a long break. Aoraki Summit kept on better after a speed-tracking run outside High Percentage. He relished a downgrade. Prime Mortar held his ground after a box seat run. It was a better performance trying the 1,400m third up this term. Owners' Praise ran on without threatening after making his run five back and one off the fence. He's been costly this season. High Percentage was on his tippy toes near the 100 after finding the front from gate 10. He's better ridden held up for a run.
