Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (388)-YUE YEE HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1600Metres
HOLY STAR was slow to begin and then despite being ridden along failed to muster speed.ROCKET began very awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and bumped the hindquarters of CASA MASTER which became unbalanced.
SUM WIN DRAGON shifted in at the start and bumped BLISS CARTEL.
From the outside barrier, KHARU was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
In the early stages, SUM WIN DRAGON travelled keenly when being steadied to obtain cover.
Passing the 1200 Metres, BLISS CARTEL got its head up when being steadied to allow SOUTHERN SPRINGS to cross into the lead.
After the 300 Metres, RAY OF GOLD was awkwardly placed inside the heels of CASA MASTER which lay in under pressure.
RAY OF GOLD was again momentarily crowded for room after the 200 Metres when CASA MASTER continued to lay in.
Also after the 300 Metres, HOLY STAR was steadied when held up for a run and passing the 200 Metres was shifted out to obtain clear running.
Then close to the finishing line, HOLY STAR was shifted out away from the heels of ZACHARY to continue improving.
For the major part of the race, ZACHARY travelled wide and without cover.
HOLY STAR lost its right front plate after the race.
After the race, B Prebble expressed concern regarding the action of RAY OF GOLD.
A veterinary inspection of RAY OF GOLD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LIGHTNING AND GOLD and BLISS CARTEL were sent for sampling.

Favourite Lightning And Gold enjoyed a lovely run behind the leaders along the fence, edged out three deep upon straightening and quickened well to take control 250m out with a key drop in grade. Bliss Cartel settled second along the fence, advanced to the front 550m out and found one too smart in the end. Sum Win Dragon ran on strongly with one wider out after travelling third from the rear to grab Enchanting Diamond on the wire for a placing in a pleasing first run following a lengthy injury break. Enchanting Diamond was out-dashed for third with two wider out after travelling one off the fence beyond midfield. Casa Master kept on one-paced over the final 150m following a one-off run in third. Zachary came up flat in the last 100m after a deep run without cover travelling fore of midfield. Plunged late, Golden Partners settled midfield along the paint after jumping sluggishly, stayed near the inside upon straightening and made some ground. Holy Star was hard ridden with the whip to settle behind midfield after a tardy break, switched off the fence for a clear run at the 100m and made a mild bid thereafter.
