Our latest Write to Win champion is Eunice Tang, 12, from Renaissance College

I must admit that when my mum suggested that I sign up for Write to Win, I never thought I could even get into the top 10, let alone win.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to participate at the start, but after persuasion from my mum, I finally gave in. I am incredibly grateful that I decided to join this competition.

All of the questions in this competition have allowed me to improve my writing skills and expand my creativity to no bounds.

One question in particular stood out to me the most. It was: “Which animal would judge humans the most?” I have always known of the cruelty that humans have caused to animals. However, I have never thought about how animals would judge us humans in response to how we treat them. This question allowed me to put myself in the animals’ shoes and imagine how they feel.

My big challenge in this competition was balancing school work with writing responses to each question. I am even writing this while I am at school camp. I struggled a lot with time management but eventually pulled through.

I am grateful to my school for offering me an environment to explore my creativity. I would also like to thank my family and friends for supporting me throughout this competition. But, most importantly, thank you, readers, for voting for me.

Write to Win is a great competition to develop your skills and creativity; I recommend it to everyone interested.

We have prepared some exciting prizes for our top three contestants:

  • Winner: Kindle, LOG-ON voucher and a YP certificate

  • First runner-up: Instax camera and a YP certificate

  • Second runner-up: LOG-ON voucher and a YP certificate
