We received many compelling and creative entries in March! We at Young Post would like to thank you, our readers, for your support. After reading all last month’s letters, debates and creative entries, we are delighted to announce the winners.

Best Letter

Cold weather caused by global warming: Vernon Ha from Phillips Academy Andover (US) impressed us with their letter explaining how record-breaking low temperatures in the US could be the result of climate change and the polar vortex stretching down from the Arctic.

Plastic waste at Clockenflap: Emily Cen Weirou from Independent Schools Foundation Academy (Secondary) won Best Letter for her insightful observations on Clockenflap’s green initiative, highlighting how the festival fell short in its efforts to reduce its plastic footprint.

Best Face Off

Joshua Chan from Carmel Secondary School is our best debater this month. His timely, comprehensive argument on whether Hong Kong schools should provide free lunches included insightful comparisons against other countries’ protocols.

Best Insight

Isabelle Wei from Canadian International School of Hong Kong gave the best opinion on whether President Joe Biden should have the authority to ban TikTok in the United States.

Most Creative

Siu Tsz-shun from STFA Leung Kau Kui College shared an unexpected fusion dish, combining Hong Kong’s signature egg waffles and sought-after Wagyu beef to win our award for creativity.

Most Engaged School

St Paul’s Co-educational College sent many submissions to our Face Off, The Lens, Top 10, and Your Voice pages last month; eight were published. Thank you!
